The first 4x4x4 Live Jam is being planned

This is the first ever live 4x4x4 game jam. The idea is to spend a long weekend jamming out 4x emoji entries, and have a cam (and hopefully a monitor) set up to live-stream for those who want to follow along in other locales/countries).

We're still in the planning stage, but if you intend to come, drop a note as early as you can, so we can find a location that's suitable, and lock in the date as far out as we can. Personal/professional obligations are harder for some to navigate without advance notice. We also have a channel set up in Discord for discussion. Current details will be posted here daily.

We're going to try simultaneous streaming via Twitch and Discord, provided we have the bandwidth. I'll be setting up the gear beforehand and performing some local testing.

We did a trial run of the jam this weekend, and it was a complete success. So this coming weekend is a GO.

Live jam was an amazing experience. We learned quite a few things about the whole streaming process, and we'll be summarizing our findings and thoughts for next time.

JAM IT IN 2023 summary and ideas for improvement

Long story short: it was a success and we will be doing it yearly.
