It's been getting my hyped about pixels too, that's for sure. :D

In my recent exploration of "WTF DO I EVEN LIKE ABOUT GAMES ANYMORE" I bought and installed Aesprite. I then spent an hour doing some "studies", and OH MAN am I rusty at pixel art. To be fair, it's been a few years since I even attempted to do art in general, soooo I shouldn't be surprised.

I would like to make myself do daily art practice and studies, buuuut that hasn't happened yet.

May as well double up on the PC98 lovin'.

That reminds me, I need to resume development of Moai at some point. I was very close to a fresh release when I stepped away from it. First I gotta dig up the source and see if I can still build it lol.

This is a pretty competent mockup using 24x24 pixel tiles instead of the usual 16x16.

One of my favorite mockups/reimagining of all time based on one of my favorite games of all time:

The Lost Vikings was certainly enjoyable. I never played the sequel. For a while, there were some games of the same general vein, like The Humans, and of course, Lemmings. Puzzle platformers had a good little run in the early 90s.

I'm taking a few liberties with this one, because it's not strictly pixel art, and definitely not hand-painted. But it gets a pass because SHODAN is awesome.

So, kinda on an old PC-88 and 98 kick right now. Shortly, I'll resume posting totally random things.
